The Credential that Stands Above the Rest

Today, organizations that integrate governance, risk management, and compliance in order to support business goals have a distinct advantage over their competitors. That’s why you should seek out candidates who hold the GRC Group’s GRC certification, and why you should pave the way for your current managers to attend advanced GRC training and become Certified in governance, risk management, and compliance.

The Certified in GRC credential signifies that the candidate has three years of professional experience and has been certified, though testing, as having the following knowledge:

  • The role of corporate governance
  • Measuring corporate performance
  • Roles of directors, shareholders, owners, and mangers
  • Roles and responsibilities of board committees
  • How to fairly measure management performance to ensure that shareholders’ interests are being met
  • COSO Enterprise Risk Management framework
  • Best practices in control frameworks
  • How to manage auditor expectations
  • How to meet regulatory requirements
  • How to leverage investment in internal controls to support business goals and objectives

The GRC Group also offers the following credentials to those delving deeply into one facet of GRC: Certified in Governance (CGOV), Certified in Integrated Risk Management (CIRM), and Certified in Internal Control Management (CICM).

The GRC Group’s Pro-Level Certifications certifies that a candidate has all of the knowledge associated with his or her specialty, along with 1,200 hours of related work experience over the past three years. Pro-Level Certifications include Certified Governance Professional (CGOVP), Certified Integrated Risk Management Professional (CIRMP), Certified Internal Control Management Professional (CICMP), Certified Governance Risk Compliance Professional (CGRCP), and Certified Governance Risk Compliance Manager (CGRCM).

Today, many organizations recognize that the CGRC credential is an indicator that the candidate stays abreast of best practices and provides their organization with a sound roadmap and implementation guidelines that support business goals and objectives.

SOX Institute/GRC Group makes no warranties, express or implied, about the performance of attendee/candidate/holder on the job due to many factors and variables beyond our control.
